From the article:

Consumers often rate the kitchen as the most important room in the home, and with good reason: this hardworking area is the spot where families and friends gather together most. Baths, as the serenity space where homeowners go to relax and unwind, follow closely in status. So, what do buyers want in these most-loved spaces?

Here are some of the top design takeaways for kitchens and baths:

Take it Easy
When in doubt, stay simple. An all-white color scheme remains a top design trend among consumers for the clean look that it gives kitchens and baths. Clean edges and streamlined fixtures create chic, modern spaces while keeping design straightforward.

A Pop of Color
Color goes a long way in a room and costs next to nothing to incorporate. A bright wall or vibrant accent features can transform a bland space into something exciting. Such a simple addition can make a big difference.

Functional Style
Homeowners are practical; after all, at the end of the day, the most important design element of any home is that it functions well for its residents’ daily life???. For buyers looking to maximize function in a small home without taking away from appearance, shelves offer the perfect combination of simple and sensible storage. Shelving in kitchens creates a more open feel than traditional cabinets???and costs less to install, too.

Unique light fixtures can also serve as a key design element in a room as an easy and quick way to add flavor and style to the space.

Adding the ???little extras??? will set the home apart from the pack and help buyers feel like they are making the most of their space???pull-out drawers in kitchen cabinets, island extensions, and cutting board attachments on the sink are all examples of the useful additions that buyers love.

From the article:

Every year brings more options for materials, finishes and ideas to bring into our interiors. If you???re ready to try something new, consider the following design trends. We searched through Houzz data, popular photos and articles, and talked to designers for this snapshot of 22 things you???re likely to see more of in 2018.

More color in kitchens.
White will always be a classic palette for kitchens, as the annual Houzz kitchen trends study continues to show. But its increased popularity means there???s going to be some all-white-kitchen fatigue as homeowners look for ways to personalize their space. So while white kitchens aren???t even close to going away, expect to see a rise in color for the kitchen, especially other neutrals like gray and blue. Plus, warm wood tones are becoming a popular replacement for painted cabinets, leading to sophisticated, rich palettes.

Glass insert for tub-shower combos.
Many still love their shower curtains, but partial glass dividers are coming on strong. Glass shower panels keep compact spaces airy and open, allowing a clear view to a statement shower tile or more natural light.

Defining kitchens in open floor plans.
Every time a bell rings, an interior wall gets knocked down. OK, maybe not that frequently but it seems like the open floor plan has dominated homes in recent years, and not all homeowners love it. And some are going the other way, seeking some sort of delineation of space, such as in the photo shown here. A half wall of cabinetry creates a semi-closed space between the kitchen and living room.

Interested in Getting a Robot Vacuum Cleaner? Get More Information Here!

Time is something that most of us are stretched thin on. There never seem to be enough hours in a day and some things seem to fall by the wayside. If one of those things is getting your floors clean then perhaps you’re looking into investing in a robot vacuum cleaner. If you are then you’ve come to the right place. We found this article with more information. We hope it helps!

From the article:

Looking to hire a high-tech robot vacuum to do the dirty work for you? These three options have impressive cleaning power at a reasonable price point.

Nobody enjoys dragging a heavy vacuum across all carpeted floors of the house and repeating the job only a week later, but dust, debris, and pet hair don???t stop for anyone. Over time, the need for a better (read: more convenient) way led to the invention of the robot vacuum. While early models were more novel than practical???the clumsy machines jerked erratically, bumped into table legs, got stuck under the sofa, and sucked up minimal dirt and debris???robot vacuums have improved through many technological advances since then, graduating to household helpers worthy of the investment. If you???re shopping for your first robot vacuum, you may even be pleasantly surprised at the relatively low price and innovative features. Keep reading to find out what you should know before shopping, and discover the the best robot vacuum options on the market.

FIGURE OUT THE FEATURES
When choosing a robot vacuum, homeowners are often most interested in the machine???s cleaning power. But the effectiveness of any specific model depends on a variety of factors, such as the size of the room you intend to clean, the type of flooring you have, the vacuum???s battery life, and the vacuum???s ease of operation. Before choosing a model, consider the following:

Floor Covering: Check the manufacturer???s specs carefully. Some models are designed for low pile carpeting but not shag, while others should only be used on solid flooring, such as hardwood planks or tile.

Battery Life: Even if a robot vacuum advertises great suction, it won???t clean effectively without a properly charged battery. Manufacturers often list battery run time as well as the area size (in square footage) that the vacuum will successfully clean on a single charge. During an extensive cleaning cycle, some models will even automatically dock in their charging stations until refueled and then continue vacuuming where they left off.

Remote Control: While the exact functions depend on the model, many robot vacuums come with remote controls to program the operating modes or activate the vacuum when necessary, whether to clean the whole room or just one spot on the floor.

Program Options: To cater to the amount of cleaning you need, robot vacuums often include a selection of operating modes: ???turbo??? modes that offer quick and intense cleaning power, ???eco??? modes that save battery power, and ???quiet??? modes that won???t interfere with your everyday (studying, working, or television time). The ability to program a cleaning schedule in advance???typically from three to seven days???may also be a high on your priority list for a vacuum that makes the whole chore practically automatic.

Smart Technology: Newer robot vacuums connect to Wi-Fi, allowing users to operate them remotely through an app on their smartphones. In addition to programming the miniature machines as a remote might otherwise do, the app may also monitor the robot???s cleaning progress, battery life, and dustbin.

Looking to Organize Your Home Office to Get Even More Done? Start Here!

In order to help you out we found this article with helpful tips on how to organize your home office so you can be more productive. We hope it helps!

From the article:

You may think that you don???t have time to organize your office, but if you really knew how much time that disorganization cost you, you???d reconsider. Rearranging and moving piles occasionally doesn???t count. Neither does clearing off your desk, if you swipe the mess into a bin, or a desk drawer. A relatively neat and orderly office space clears the way for higher productivity and less wasted time.

Organizing your office doesn???t have to take days, it can be done a little at a time. In fact maintaining an organized office is much more effective if you treat it like an ongoing project, instead of a massive assault. So, if you???re ready to get started, the following tips will help you transform your office into an efficient workspace.

Great Tips to Organize Your Office Space
Purge your office ??? De-clutter, empty, shred, get rid of everything that you don???t need or want. Look around. What haven???t you used in a while? Take one area at a time. If it doesn???t work, send it out for repair or toss it. If you haven???t used it in months and can???t think of when you???ll actually need it, out it goes. This goes for furniture, equipment, supplies, etc. Don???t forget about knick-knacks, plants (real or artificial), and decorations ??? if they???re covered with dust and make your office look shabby, they???re fair game.

Gather and redistribute ??? Gather up every item that isn???t where it belongs and put it where it does.

Establish work ???zones??? ??? Decide what type of activity happens in each area of your office. You???ll probably have a main workspace (most likely your desk,) a reference area (filing cabinet, shelves, binders,) and a supply area (closet, shelves or drawers.) Place the appropriate equipment and supplies are located in the proper area as much as possible.

Get a good labeler ??? Choose a label maker that???s simple to use. Take the time to label shelves, bins, baskets drawers. Not only will it remind you where things go, but it will also help others who may have a need to find, use, or put away anything in your workspace.

Revise your filing system ??? As we move fully into the digital age, the need to store paper files has decreased. What can your store digitally? Are you duplicating files? You may be able to eliminate some of the files and folders you???ve used in the past. If you???re storing files on your computer, make sure you are doing regular back-ups.

Looking to Declutter Your Garage? Learn What Things to Throw Away Here!

Garages are typically places where things go to die. You put things in there fully intending to get back to them at some point. In order to help your regain control of your garage we found this article with 10 things you should throw away right now. We hope it helps!

———————

From the article:

If your garage has become nothing more than a glorified storage closet, it might be time to declutter. Take a few minutes out of your day to get organized.

Newspapers, Magazines, and Catalogs
???You???re not going to read these again,??? says organizing and storing expert Emma Gordon of Clutter.com. ???If they???ve been banished from the house to the garage they need to go.??? If you can???t part with all of them, allow yourself to keep a few special editions or issues.

Broken or Duplicate Tools
You probably don???t need five hammers, and that broken drill is just collecting dust on a shelf. Take stock of your tool collection and consolidate, so you don???t have an overflowing toolbox (or too many bulky bins filled with tools).

Plastic Planter Trays
???It???s tempting to keep the trays after popping our spring blooms,??? says Gordon. ???Unless you???re a regular gardener, there???s no reason to keep these trays after transplanting. Clear them out so you don???t have to deal with spiders or other garage critters that will make a home in them.???

Old Paint Cans
Paint cans often are scattered all over the garage once a home improvement project is complete. If you don???t need it on hand for touch-ups, or if it???s gone bad, it???s time to get rid of those bulky cans. Paint usually lasts for up to 10 years unopened, and 2-5 years if opened and stored correctly. Depending on your state, there are different laws for disposing of or recycling paint. Check to see if your state has a paint recycling program, or if there???s a waste disposal place near your home where you can drop off the cans.

Remnants of DIY Projects
While you???re clearing cans from old home improvement projects, toss out old materials from DIY projects. ???Almost every garage in America has a flimsy aluminum paint tray coated in house paint, with a matching roller in a crumpled grocery bag,??? Gordon says. ???As homeowners, we like to think we???re going to get more than one use out of our paint brushes, trays, and other DIY tools, but it???s more likely we???ll forget and buy these items again anyway. The only reason to save otherwise disposable DIY tools would be if you have a project in mind that you plan to tackle soon.???
